Ion Ceban, the General Mayor joins and supports the initiative signed today by all mayors of the capital's suburbs requesting municipal councilors to adopt a favorable decision at the CMC meeting on May 19 to solve the problem of public transport and procurement of new units of trolleybuses and buses.

The mayors of the suburbs expressed their readiness to prepare the entire necessary infrastructure to bring public transport to the localities emphasizing that this has been expected for many years.

"We know that the situation regarding the transport insurance of the inhabitants of the municipality is not good enough in the conditions in which the minibuses have stopped their activity. People travel whole kilometers by foot to reach a public transport line or they have to wait in stations for a long time to go to work or home " the Mayor of the capital remarked.

In this context, Ion Ceban expressed his hope that the local elected officials will adopt a favorable decision so that the City Hall can initiate the procedures for purchasing the new public transport units and the citizens will benefit from quality public services as soon as possible.
