The Chisinau Municipality was represented at the World Urban Forum held in Cairo, Egypt
Chisinau City Hall has launched the most ambitious municipal project that will support youths and migrants that would like to create their own business in the capital – Start-up for youths and migrants.
The intents has been made brought to the public on the Youth’s Year in Chisinau. The objective of the LPA is to support the youths with business ideas, therefore, to create new jobs and develop the city economy.
The Chisinau City hall, in partnership with Moldovan Economic Studies Academy (MESA), Moldovan State University (MSU), Chamber of Commerce and Industry, America House Chisinau, FIA, UNICEF, UN Women, Association CIR Pro Bono, will assure that youths will have all of the necessary information to initiate a business.

The trainings are free of charge and will be held in September, and the beneficiary could be youths, future businessmen, refugees and worker migrants that are between 18 - 40 years old.
Youths will learn the legal and normative particularities of entrepreneur activity management, business management and financial management, tax system and accounting, online marketing and digital literacy, etc.
At the end of the trainings, youths and migrants will be able to apply for the “Start-up for youths and migrants” program
The financial support will be provided by the Chisinau City Hall as a grant. Thus, with a contribution of only 30% the beneficiary could obtain a non-refundable financial support for up to 200 000 Moldovan Lei, or get compensated the interest payment of the credit that has been invested in the business.
The budget of the “Start-up for youths and migrants” program for 2023 year is 10 million Moldovan Lei.
Previously, to foster the development of small and medium enterprises, on July, in Chisinau has been established the Municipal center for Entrepreneur Development, in the capacity of a unity that would implement the state program and municipal program of entrepreneur development and youths support, inclusively the municipal pilot program “Start-up for youths and migrants”.
The Municipal Business incubator of Municipal Center of Business Development, the future entrepreneurs will find a working space and a space for meetings, all the necessary logistics, will benefit of trainings, consultancy, mentoring, marketing services and market studies, judicial services and accounting services.
