The City Hall of Chisinau Municipality reports that the Municipal Commission will check the situation with the provision of catering services for children in the school and pre-school educational institutions of the capital and within 3 months a report will be presented on the results of the audit and the measures necessary to solve problems in this field.

A decision in this regard was adopted at the last meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council. According to the document, the multiple complaints, regarding the administration of violations and irregularities in the chapter, served as the basis for the measure taken by the municipal councilors regarding the food services for children in schools and kindergartens.

Also, we note that at the request of the municipality, the Accounts Chamber conducts an audit of 5 catering complexes for schoolchildren.

The Mayor General, Ion Ceban, made it clear that the intention of Chisinau Local Public Administration in this chapter is to assess the state of affairs regarding the diet in schools, in order to intervene with improvements, because this process depends on the health of our children. "Educational institutions need to be concerned about children's education, but not about food procurement," the Mayor said.
