The Chisinau Municipality was represented at the World Urban Forum held in Cairo, Egypt
The Chisinau General Mayor, Ion Ceban, is on a two-day working visit to Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation.
During today, Mr. Ion Cheban met with Sergey Cheremin, the Minister of the Moscow Government , the head of the Foreign Economic and International Relations Department.
The Moscow government announced that it would give Chisinau in the near future the machinery and equipment necessary for snow removal and for cleaning the capital.
In addition, two officials agreed to strengthen a cooperation agreement between the Chisinau City Hall and the Moscow City Hall. Thus, as soon as possible this document will be updated and approved.
The document assumes that in the next 3 years, the two municipalities will implement a series of joint projects and programs, targeting several areas of development: expertise and experience exchange, infrastructure, urbanism, transport, education, social and medical.
In the context, the General Mayor of the capital, Ion Ceban, reaffirmed the importance of establishing new partnerships that will contribute to the modernization of the Chisinau municipality. "Moscow, today, is one of the best cities with sustainable development in the field of security, infrastructure, electronic governance, and we can borrow the experience of the capital of Russia," said the Mayor.
