The promotional campaign of “Electrical Security” among citizens

Chisinau City Hall, United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Moldova and Premier Energy Distribution, have joined forces to ensure the promotion and development of actions aimed at avoiding accidents and trauma due to ignorance or non-compliance with safety regulations and unauthorized intervention in electrical installations. Therefore, on November 11, 2020, the parties signed the memorandum of understanding. 

The memorandum main goal is to promote the “Electrical Security” among the citizens. The Municipality is aiming to avoid and prevent accidents and trauma due to ignorance or non-compliance with basic safety rules and unauthorized intervention in electrical installations.

The General Mayor, Ion Ceban thanked the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Moldova and Premier Energy Distribution: "I am grateful to our partners for their openness in order to strengthen efforts to reduce domestic accidents and to promote electrical safety for children and adolescents".

Children security is a priority for the authorities in the context of the pandemic situation.”A considerable number of children and students spend more time at home, often unsupervised by adults. The house must be a safe environment, and compliance with all electrical safety rules and the adoption of precautions around them must become a norm.” Ion Ceban said.

In the Framework of „Electrical Security” campaign, a series of informative materials will be developed and made available through various digital teaching materials and video spots which will be distributed to teachers, children and adolescents via the online educational platform, as well as in urban public transport and educational institutions. The materials will concern to the importance of complying with electrical safety rules in order to avoid accidents in electrical installations.
