The Chisinau Municipality was represented at the World Urban Forum held in Cairo, Egypt
The Chisinau City Hall informs that on Thursday was reopened, after capital repairs, the Anesthesia and Intensive Care Unit of the Municipal Clinical Hospital "Gheorghe Paladi", whose capacity was increased from 6 to 13 beds.
Expenditure for the above mentioned repair works, amounting to 17.5 million MDL, was financed by the World Bank within the framework of the Project "Emergency Response to COVID-19 in the Republic of Moldova".
At the same time, the expenses for the technical and material equipment of the intensive care unit (furniture and medical equipment), amounting to about 1 million MDL, were borne by the Chisinau City Hall.
Thus, patients who will be treated in the Intensive Care Unit will benefit from very good conditions, and doctors will provide quality services, with modern equipment and devices.
The Municipal Clinical Hospital "Gheorghe Paladi" is a curative - prophylactic institution of strategic importance for the municipality of Chisinau and the entire republic.
The institution treats about 25,000 patients annually and performs about 4,500 surgical operations.
The only Gynecological Septic Department in the Republic is also active here, which treats patients with various gynecological complications. At the same time, the hospital provides specialized and multi-profile medical services at high quality standards, including obstetrics and gynecology, surgery, therapy and pediatrics.
Investments made by the Chisinau City Hall in the last 4 years at the Public Medical-Sanitary Institution "Gheorghe Paladi" Municipal Clinical Hospital:
1. Energy efficiency project worth 1 770 000 Euro;
2. Investments in capital repairs and equipment, during the period: 2019 - 2023, amounting to 17 million MDL.
