The Chisinau Municipality was represented at the World Urban Forum held in Cairo, Egypt
The Chisinau City Hall announces the completion of public consultations on the draft Regulation for the management and operation of parking spaces in Chisinau Municipality. This information was presented on Monday during a briefing by the capital's Deputy Mayor, Ilie Ceban.
During the discussions on this project, proposals from citizens and municipal councilors were reviewed. The document has now been sent for approval to the relevant state authorities.
Mayor Ion Ceban stated that, following this process, it is essential for each member of the Chisinau Municipal Council to receive detailed presentations, including audio and video content, to ensure transparency in decision-making.
Additionally, Deputy Mayor Ilie Ceban provided an update on the progress of developing an electronic ticketing system for municipal public transportation. A draft regulation is currently being prepared following consultations with national experts to determine the most effective solutions. The City Hall aims to present this concept to the Chisinau Municipal Council by the end of the year.
Also, in the operational meeting, municipal officials presented progress on several regulatory projects aimed at streamlining the work of specialized departments and improving the quality of services provided to citizens.
Roman Vitiuc, Head of the General Department for Economy, Trade, and Tourism (GDETT), reported on the current status of amending the Regulation on Domestic Trade. This document has passed the public consultation phase and has been sent to faction representatives and specialty committees of the Chisinau Municipal Council for analysis and further debate in the plenary session.
The GDETT has also initiated amendments to the Regulation on Auctions for Allocating Spaces for Kiosks in Chisinau, aligning it with proposals in the Domestic Trade Regulation. This regulatory draft is currently under legal review and will be presented to the Chișinău Municipal Council for approval.
