Chisinau Municipality Informs than on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the Municipal Children Clinic Hospital (MCCH) No. 1 has taken place the ceremony of receipt of a batch of medical machines for diagnostics and treatment, offered by the German Agency of International Cooperation (GIZ), for 3 children hospital.

The event marks the end of a complex support pack offered by the German Federal Government to the medical network of Chisinau.

The three medical facilities (MCCH No. 1; MCCH “Valentin Ignatenco”; MCCH of contagious disease) have received a support pack that includes brand new medical appliances, latest generation, to ensure an accurate diagnostic and efficient medical treatment.

At the event, at MCCH No. 1 have been shown the new enhancement of the institution: modern X-ray machine; monitors to monitor the vital functions, pediatric beds, laboratory analyzer, disinfection equipment and other essential medical goods.

The whole support pack for Chisinau Municipality is valued at about EUR 700 000. Annually, these 3 municipal hospital serves over 23 000 beneficiary children, 1 100 of them a Ukrainian refugees.

At the ceremony of receipt of support pack and medical appliances has been present Mrs. Angela Cutasevici, Deputy Mayor, Merle Kreibaum, head of Department for Economic Cooperation of Embassy of Federative Republic of Germany to the Republic of Moldova, but also the representatives with the municipal subdivisions, representative with the German Agency of International Cooperation (GIZ), representative with Chisinau Municipal Council and the managers of the three Municipal Children Hospitals.

The purchase of the new medical equipment represents a part of the support offered to the Moldova’s communities, to manage the situations related to the Ukrainian refugees, estimated at EUR 4 MM.

This activity has been held with the support project “Strong Enterprises and Communes for Moldova” financed by German Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the German Agency of International Cooperation (GIZ)
