Mr. Ion Ceban, the General Mayor of Chisinau Municipality, participated in the 16th edition of the "Balkan Trafik" Festival, which held between April 29 and May 1, 2022, in Brussels, where the ethnofolk ensemble "Plăieșii" envolved. The participation of our artists in the cultural event took place in the context of promoting national values and the image of Chisinau municipality abroad.

The "Balkan Trafik" festival aims to promote culture through the best of traditional Balkan music, dance, graffiti art, photo exhibitions and meetings with young European ambassadors from the Balkans, as well as wine exhibitions and regional cuisine.

Approximately 150 artists and musicians from several countries met on the big stage in the heart of Brussels, in the center of Grand-Place.

This event is a unique opportunity to see and meet different artists from different countries, to hear and enjoy the rhythms of a rich and widely varied music culture.

The mayor of the capital mentioned that Chisinau Municipality and the Republic of Moldova have many valuable people, and our culture and traditions must be promoted and known internationally.

"We thank the partners from Brussels, especially to the festival's organizers, for the invitation and the opportunity to participate in such event of cultural importance. We hope that this event will be the beginning of a fruitful collaboration in the nearest future", said Mr. Ion Ceban.
