The Signing the Collaboration Agreement between Chisinau City Hall and the National Anticorruption Center

The Chisinau City Hall and the National Anticorruption Center (NAC) signed a collaboration agreement today, in order to develop and implement joint anticorruption actions.

The document aims to prevent and combat corruption, strengthen the integrity of officials and the local public administration employees.

The General Mayor, Ion Ceban, declared that the current municipal administration aims to increase the degree of transparency of the institution, both internally and externally. In this regard, the activities and services of the Chisinau City Hhall are currently being transferred to online platforms in order to minimize the impact of the human factor.

The fight against corruption is possible only through cooperation, therefore we welcome this agreement. Civil servants must be honest people who work efficiently and effectively. We will continue to make efforts to increase the degree of the institutional integrity of the Chisinau City Hall ", mentioned the Mayor.

In his turn, the Director of the National Anticorruption Center,  Mr. Ruslan Flocea, mentioned that the authority he represents is interested in such collaboration agreements with entities that provide public services to the population, in order to guide the institutions regarding anticorruption regulations and, accordingly, to create real transparency of the services offered by Local Public Administration.

The collaboration of the parties will be achieved by setting up, if necessary, working groups to inform employees about integrity standards, prevention mechanisms and tools (including the National Anticorruption Line and specialized lines of institutions), the consequences of corruption and the development of active civic against corruption.

The work process regarding the collaboration of the municipality with the National Anticorruption Center will be administered by the Deputy Mayor Ilie Ceban, responsible for the legal field.
