The General Mayor, Ion Ceban, received today at Chisinau City Hall, a delegation from the People's Republic of China, headed by the Governor of Zhejiang Province, Lian Yimin, who is currently in Moldova.

The talks between the parties centered on initiating bilateral cooperation, given that Zhejiang is a prosperous province with rapid economic development in China.

Ion Ceban said that the municipality is interested in deepening cooperation relations with the Chinese side, citing the example of the Embassy of the People's Republic of China, which has constantly supported the efforts of Chisinau City Hall in the pandemic and refugee crisis.

In this context, the mayor of the capital urged the representatives of Zhejiang province to participate in the Chisinau economic forum, where the investment portfolio of the municipality will be presented.

The parties also agreed to intensify cooperation and exchange of experience, especially in the social and digital fields, where the economies of both countries show potential for growth.
