The Chisinau City Hall informs that it has become an official partner in the project "Aligning public and CoRpOrate Sustainability goalS" - ACROSS, funded through the Interreg Europe Program 2021-2027, under Policy Objective 5 - A Europe closer to citizens, Specific objective - Integrated Urban Development.

The project, which will run over a four-year period, will contribute to aligning public and corporate sustainability objectives and foster long-term collaboration between economic actors and local authorities in the participating regions. This process will facilitate inter-regional knowledge exchange and bring significant benefits to the communities involved.

The Chisinau Municipality is part of an international consortium coordinated by the Municipality of Alba Iulia (Romania) and composed of 8 partners: EDC Debrecen - Center for Urban and Economic Development (Hungary), Municipality of Kekava (Latvia), Development Agency Nord DAN S.R.L (Croatia), Municipality of Milan (Italy), City of Hannut (Belgium), University of Liège (Belgium), Municipality of Chisinau (Moldova) and BURST Nonprofit Limited Liability Company (Hungary).

The ACROSS project will enable the 9 partners from 7 countries to learn from each other, promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and contributing to the development of sustainable cooperation between the public and private sectors.

The External Relations Department of the Chisinau City Hall will coordinate and implement this project.

The ACROSS project will run from April 1, 2024 to June 30, 2028 and will have a significant impact on the city of Chisinau and the region, through the transfer and adoption of the project results by other European cities and regions.
