Chisinau Municipality represented at the 6th UNESCO International Conference of Learning Cities
Chisinau City Hall informs that today, November 20, 2024, is marked the International Children's Rights Day. This occasion reminds us that every child has the right to education, protection, health and love.
It is also an important moment to reflect on our collective responsibility to ensure a better future for all children.
Quality education, a safe environment and unconditional support are commitments to the future of our community.
The City reaffirms its commitment to support children's rights and to create opportunities that allow children to develop in a healthy and protected environment.

Figures that reflect the involvement of Chisinau City Hall:
- 306 educational institutions (155 kindergartens and 151 schools) provide education to 142,704 pupils and children.
- More than 8,000 children from disadvantaged families receive schooling support, including school supplies, every year.
- 1,855 refugee children from Ukraine (1,427 in schools and 428 in kindergartens) benefit from education, warm food and psychological support.
- Over 12,000 vulnerable children are supported through the DGPDC, with social assistance, foster care and counseling services.
- More than 14,000 children benefit annually from health care in educational institutions, and more than 30,000 pediatric consultations and about 20,000 vaccinations have been carried out in municipal health institutions.
- The family support service assisted over 500 families in crisis, preventing the separation of children from their families.
- 10 day care centers support more than 300 children annually, preventing marginalization and school drop-out.
- The street outreach service intervened for over 100 at-risk children each year, providing support and temporary shelter.
- Over 2,145 children with special educational needs benefit from individualized support and inclusive programs.

- 27 playgrounds and recreational spaces have been upgraded for children's development.
- 24 professional parental assistants provide a safe temporary home for 32 children without families.

- 27 branches of the "B. P. Hasdeu" Municipal Library provide access to educational and recreational resources for over 100,000 children and young people.
